User testing templates

Having trouble getting started with usability testing? From writing the tasks and survey questions, to setting demographic filters, enabling the relevant psychometrics and other quantitative data points, and finally selecting the number of testers; it can be overwhelming.

Although we have written extensively on these topics before, we suspected there was yet another way to support our customers. We’ve often found that writing task scripts for usability tests is where customers struggle most.

To better assist our customers, we have written these industry-specific task script templates for broad-stroke user testing and user research, along with suggestions for whether or not to enable the impression test.

  • E-commerce store

  • Travel site

  • SaaS platform

  • A/B prototype

  • Remote focus group for marketers

Be sure to keep a look out for any insertable callouts such as [PRODUCT] letting you know that you must input that information.
